e-Boks Expands its Digital Mailbox Services Presence in Europe

e-Boks is an often-referenced digital mailbox service as a proof point for new entrants around the globe. This year, it also turns into an international competitor under its namesake. With over 65% of the Danish population using the digital postal mail service to receive and archive business documents, the service jointly owned by Post Danmark and Nets (an electronic payments company) has recently expanded into Norway and plans to be in Sweden by the end of this year. As with the service in Denmark, Norwegian users can receive bank statements, insurance policies, pay slips, and official government documents via e-Boks with free storage for life (they can also upload and store up to 50 MB worth of content for free). For Norwegian businesses, e-Boks is similar to certified mail in that it provides approval certificates to businesses that act as the guarantee of delivery.
