Minecraft and VR are set to give Samsung Big Edge in 2016

The first quarter sales numbers are in, and Samsung has posted a 12% gain from where the company was one year ago. This comes at the same time that Apple reported its first ever decline in the sales of the iPhone. Samsung has given credit to its increased sales to the early launch of its Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. Apple iPhone 6s and 6s Plus

September is notoriously the month of the iPhone, and Apple has continued its practice of rolling-out a new or newer generation of iPhones. On September 9th Apple introduced the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus.

Although there were many smartphone models introduced this summer and more will undoubtedly come out in the months leading up to the Holiday gift giving season, it will be hard for any phone or manufacturer to rival the marketing and media splash that Apple has made.

It’s hard to not see an article these days – online or print – that talks about how the mobile camera is taking over as the everyday camera, some go as far to say that mobile phones are killing the traditional camera. The iPhone “Shot on iPhone” marketing campaigns are even promoting that their camera phone photos are good enough to turn into huge outdoor billboards, I’ve seen a few along the Boston city highways recently. I find much of what I read from reviewers to be very valuable and in some cases, insightful. Apple once again held true to its history of a September iPhone introduction. There was much speculation around the impending announcement and Apple delivered by introducing two models on September 11th — the iPhone 5c and the 5s. Although the overall excitement for some seems to be waning that never stops the true Fan Boys; the very day the phones were announced, there was a guy in Tokyo that lined up in front of his local Apple Store and lines continue to form wherever the phones will be available even though they will be available  on September 20th.
