We recently upgraded our Ultimate Guides to a new software interface which now includes a new Dashboard that can be customized to display InfoTrends blog posts, tweets, and product updates. The new interface also loads product information at a much faster rate and Premium Users can now compare as many products as they want side-by-side.
The new Dashboard can be populated with the info feeds of your choice. As you can see in the screenshot above, the current feeds include InfoTrends Production blog posts, recently viewed Ultimate Guide products, recently updated products, saved product comparisons, and InfoTrends Twitter posts. The Dashboard keeps users updated on production hardware and software developments and alerts the user to new additions to product entries in our Ultimate Guides. New features to expect for the near future include expanded news feeds for individual products in the Guide as well as a widget to quickly link to specific products within a Guide.
Free Users can compare up to a maximum of two hardware products side by side, while Premium Access Users can compared an unlimited number of products side by side (previously Premium Access Users could only compare four products side by side). This new feature allows for much more flexibility and users can potentially compare a dozen products across several different product lines at once. Users who have upgraded to Premium Access also have the ability to print and export comparisons of up to 6 different products to an Excel spreadsheet.
In addition to the features granted to Free Users of the Ultimate Guide including the viewing of basic product information, accessing Dashboard feeds, and accessing product comparisons, Premium Access users have the additional ability to filter products by price range, view all product specification information (not just basic info), compare multiple products side by side, and view InfoTrends’ Product Analysis articles. A comprehensive list of Premium Access benefits can be seen here.
In addition to our new Print Management Information Systems (MIS) Ultimate Guide, guides covering color digital and label packaging hardware as well as wide format printing hardware will be available by the end of the year.
